OCU plays to 1-1 draw against Oklahoma Baptist

The Stars are now 9-1-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in SAC play

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University women's soccer played to a 1-1 draw Tuesday against Oklahoma Baptist at Bison Field.
With the draw the Stars, ranked 13th in the NAIA, move to 9-1-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
OCU fell behind early in the 20th minute when OBU's Elisa Brito took a pass from Courtney Anderson and beat sophomore goalkeeper Alissa Reed to make the score 1-0.
The Stars played form behind for much of the match, but pulled even when sophomore Meghan McMahon beat the OBU goalkeeper to score her 12th goal of the season and make the score 1-1 in the 78th minute.
In the second half and extra time sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Bechtold made six saves to help keep the stars in the match.
Only one shot on goal was recorded between the two teams in both extra periods leading to the 1-1 draw.
OCU put eight of their 15 shots on goal on the match. Bechtold and Reed split time in goal with Bechtold making six saves and Reed posting one.
The Stars will return to action against St. Gregory's at 5 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
