OCU downs Oklahoma Baptist 2-1

The Stars move to 3-4-3 on the season and 1-2-1 in SAC play.

Steven Short posted his fifth assist of the season in the 2-1 victory.
Box Score SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University men's soccer picked up a 2-1 victory Tuesday on the road against Oklahoma Baptist at Bison Field.
With the win the Stars move 3-4-3 on the season and 1-2-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
OCU got on the board early in the 23rd minute when sophomore Ryan Sanders found the head of freshman Kieran McLachlan to make the score 1-0 in favor of the Stars.
Oklahoma Baptist drew even right before halftime in the 44th minute when Chance Johnson's header beat sophomore goalkeeper Joe Shulberg to make the score 1-1.
OCU got back on top in the 51st minute when senior Steven Short took a corner kick and found sophomore Drew Hall for a header to make the final score 2-1.
Shulberg allowed one goal and made three saves in 90 minutes of action.
The Stars put seven of their 11 shots on goal on the day to help come away with the 2-1 victory.
OCU will return to the pitch against St. Gregory's at 7 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
