OKLAHOMA CITY – Brittany Tibbs of Oklahoma City University has been named Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week for Sept. 20-26.
Tibbs, a senior goalkeeper from Kansas City, Mo., had a pair of shutouts, collected seven saves and allowed one goal in three matches on the week. She has three shutouts this season and 29 in her four-year OCU career.
On the year, Tibbs has posted a 1.17 goals-against average while notching 22 saves. Tibbs collected her fifth defensive player of the week nod from the conference.
OCU (5-2) faces USAO at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Chickasha, Okla., in the SAC opener for both teams.
