OCU picks up 2-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian

Stars stay unscathed in SAC women's soccer play at 7-0

Josefine Holmgren notched her second goal of the year Tuesday.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University extended its undefeated conference women's soccer streak by earning a 2-0 win over Oklahoma Christian on Tuesday.
The 20th-ranked Stars (12-2, 7-0) outshot the Lady Eagles 15-3 with seven shots on goal. Shots were distributed among eight players led by Malin Andersson, a senior from Huskvarna, Sweden, with four.
The scoring began on a corner kick from Andersson at 12:58 into the first half. Josefine Holmgren, also a senior from Huskvarna, Sweden, headed the ball into the upper right corner of the goal to put the Stars up 1-0.
OCU's second goal came 64:02 into the contest. Blerta Rashica dribbled down the middle of the field past two defenders and scored with a shot just right of the goalie. Ariel Bayatfar was credited with the assist.
Goalkeeper Brittany Tibbs collected one save on the only shot on goal for the Lady Eagles.
The Stars next play Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
