Hilton carries Stars to 1-0 win over Oklahoma Christian

Gang provides assist on only goal of match for OCU

Stuart Hilton scored his third goal of the year Tuesday.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University earned men's soccer win No. 7 on the year in a defensive battle with Oklahoma Christian 1-0 on Tuesday.
The Stars (7-4-1, 3-2-1 Sooner Athletic Conference) beat the Eagles despite a 6-5 deficit in shots on goal. Stuart Hilton, a senior from Liverpool, England, led the Stars with three shots, tallying the only goal of the night. Five OCU players contributed a total of 11 shots.
The lone score came just 2:42 into the first half on a header by Alex Gang, a senior from Seoul, South Korea. Hilton rebounded the header through a crowd into the back right of the goal to put the Stars up.
Goalkeeper Andy Fitzpatrick, a senior from Kansas City, Mo., kept busy, recording four saves on the night.
The Stars next play Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 3 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
