SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Oklahoma City University men fell short in a 4-1 contest against St. Gregory's on Saturday.
The Stars (6-4-1, 2-2-1) outshot the Cavaliers by a 11-9 tally, However, St. Gregory's connected on four of their five shots on goal to take the match.
OCU's lone goal came from Chris Spendlove, a senior from Liverpool, England. Spendlove, who connected in the 48th minute, led the Stars with six shots in the match. John Dill, a senior from Broken Arrow, Okla., was credited with the assist.
Spendlove joins Alex Gang and Francis Malalou with five goals apiece on the season. Gang, a senior from Seoul, South Korea, contributed three shots in Saturday's match, two of which were on goal. Other shots for the Stars were taken by Dill and Drew Hall.
OCU next takes to the field on Tuesday at 8 p.m. as they travel to Oklahoma Christian.
