OCU women fall 2-0 to LSU-Shreveport

Malin Andersson led the Stars with five shot attempts against LSU-Shreveport.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University dropped its season opener against LSU-Shreveport 2-0 on Monday afternoon in women's soccer.

OCU and LSU-Shreveport played to a 0-0 tie in the first half. The match remained scoreless until Tarah Arrington put LSU-Shreveport ahead with a goal in the 58th minute.

Ashley Pope added a goal in the 83rd minute for LSUS to put the game out of reach.

Malin Andersson had two good opportunities to score early in the second half for the Stars, but was unlucky as her first shot missed high and her second shot hit off the top of the goal post.

OCU outshot LSU-Shreveport 12-9 for the game.
