ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Oklahoma City University remained unbeaten this season by winning twice in road women's wrestling duals, beating Lindenwood (Mo.) 42-3 and Missouri Valley 42-6 on Friday.
OCU, the defending WCWA and NWCA National Duals champions, improved to 11-0-1.
Against Lindenwood, each of the Stars' wins were bonus-point victories, including six pins and three technical falls. Brittany Delgado, a sophomore from Simpsonville, S.C., picked up the fastest fall ever by the Star, pinning Evanie Paulett in eight seconds at 82 kilograms.
Michaela Hutchison, Audrey Morehouse, Tessa Plana, Brittany Roberts and Melissa Simmons each recorded a pin. Na'Tasha Umemoto, Stephanie Waters and Nicole Woody had technical falls to put OCU out in front 12-0 to start the dual.
Against Missouri Valley, OCU had four falls. Delgado, Hutchison, Simmons and Umemoto did the honors.
Missouri Valley forfeited to the Stars at four weights.
The Stars face Jamestown (N.D.) and Regina (Saskatchewan) on Friday in Jamestown, N.D.
