OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University teammates Jason Gidney and Andy Fitzpatrick are the Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for Sept. 28-Oct. 4.

The Stars, ranked 14th in the NAIA, went 2-0 this past week, picking up a 15-0 win over Hillsdale Baptist on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and a 5-0 victory over Rogers State on Saturday.

Gidney, a junior midfielder from Edmond, Okla., had three goals and a pair of assists in a 15-0 win over Hillsdale and followed that with two goals in a 5-0 win against Rogers State. He averaged six points per match.

Fitzpatrick, a junior goalkeeper from Kansas City, Mo., had shutouts in both of those matches, coming up with five saves for the week.

OCU faces Mid-America Christian at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
