OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University played to a scoreless draw with Oklahoma Christian on Saturday night at Stars field.
The Stars (6-4-1, 3-1-1 Sooner Athletic Conference) outshot OC 11-7, including a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal, but were held scoreless for the fourth time this season.
Sarah Leonard led OCU with three shots, two of which were on goal. Leonard, a senior from West Yorkshire, England, had a good look in the first half when she was one-on-one with Oklahoma Christian goalkeeper Allie Cofer, but her shot was stopped for a nice save.
Malin Andersson had a good look on a free kick in the second half that was once again saved by Cofer.
Brittany Tibbs recorded three saves in the game to lead a strong defensive performance for OCU. The Stars have not allowed a goal in three straight games.
OCU will host Wayland Baptist (Texas) Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Stars Field.
