Stars fall 2-1 to Oklahoma Christian

Peiman Pahlevan took two shots in OCU's 2-1 loss to Oklahoma Christian on Saturday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University did not overcome an early deficit in a 2-1 loss to Oklahoma Christian on Saturday night at Stars Field.

OCU (11-2-1, 4-1 Sooner Athletic Conference) suffered its first conference loss of the season to snap a 10-match winning streak.

The Stars fell behind early when OC's Craig Turbyfill scored off a corner kick in the 12th minute to make the score 1-0. Oklahoma Christian added a goal on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute for a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Despite being down, OCU outshot Oklahoma Christian 9-4 in the first half.

The Stars struck quickly in the second half with a goal from Peiman Pahlevan in the 47th minute to cut the lead to 2-1. 
OCU and Oklahoma Christian each had four shots in the second half. Each team finished with three shots on goal for the game.

The Stars will host Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Monday at 4 p.m. at Stars Field.
