OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University men's soccer team defeated Texas Wesleyan 2-0 on Tuesday night at Stars Field.

Stephen Sheffield, a senior from Jacksonville, Texas, helped secure the victory with the first goal of the match and an assist on the second. Scott Jackson, a senior from Edmond, Okla., scored the second goal in the 41st minute of play.

The Stars' defense was led again by Andy Fitzpatrick, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo.  The Stars only allowed five shots in the match and Fitzpatrick had three saves.

OCU, ranked eighth in the NAIA, improved to a record of 7-1 and will face Texas-Brownsville on Friday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. on Stars Field.
