OCU men defeat sixth-ranked Baker 2-0

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Oklahoma City University's men's soccer team upended sixth-ranked Baker (Kan.) 2-0 in a clash of top-15 NAIA men's soccer programs on Friday at North Park Fields in the Pioneer Invitational.

Chris Spendlove, a sophomore from Liverpool, England, scored the first goal off of a corner kick and was assisted by John Dill, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla., for the 14th-ranked Stars.

Damon Ellis, a freshman from Chester-Le-Street, England, scored the second goal helping to secure the victory. 

OCU goalie Andy Fitzpatrick, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., led the Stars' defense had three saves in the match.

OCU improved to a 5-1 record and will face MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. in Baldwin City, Kan., in the Pioneer Invitational.
