OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University women's soccer team overpowered Northwestern Oklahoma State 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Stars Field.
Malin Andersson, a sophomore from Huskvarna, Sweden, led the Stars' offense with two goals and an assists, playing a crucial role in every goal of the match. Andersson scored the first and third goals for the Stars, while Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, scored the second goal with an assist from Dixon.
The Stars' defense held Northwestern to only three shots in the match. The Stars' goalkeeper Brittany Tibbs, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., had three saves in the match as well.
OCU improved to a record of 7-3-1, 3-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars will face St. Gregory's on Saturday at 6 p.m. on Stars field.
