OKLAHOMA CITY ? Oklahoma City University came through with a big scoring second half to win 77-65 over USAO on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
The Stars built on a one-point halftime lead, going up by 20 points midway through the second period to bury USAO.
OCU, ranked eighth in NAIA Division I, went to 15-3, 4-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO dropped to 10-7, 3-4.
Mikelle Brown, Alexandra Kotta and
Romana Vynuchalova shared team-high honors with 10 points each. The Stars converted 23 USAO turnovers into 24 points off turnovers.
OCU sank 19 of 29 second-half free-throw attempts.

Leading 37-34 with 18:10 left in the game, the Stars reeled off an 11-0 run. Brown sparked the spree with two layups, then Kotta added a layup and 3-pointer.
Vynuchalova ended the run on a jump shot with 13:42 remaining. OCU led 48-34.
Kotta's free throw gave the Stars their largest lead at 62-42 with 9:32 left.
OCU faces Oklahoma Christian at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Eagles Nest in the Backyard Brawl.
