OKLAHOMA CITY ? Oklahoma City University?s women rebounded from a poor performance Thursday to beat John Brown (Ark.) 74-35 on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
Mariam Sy, a 6-foot-4 senior from Mali, West Africa, posted 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots to pace the Stars.
Mikelle Brown and
Chelsea Ledbetter each added 10 points and five rebounds.
OCU improved to 22-2, 13-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars are ranked third in NAIA Division I. John Brown fell to 16-9, 8-5.
The Stars beat Northwestern 63-53 on Thursday in Alva, Okla.

John Brown shot only 31.6 percent (12 of 38) from the field and committed 25 turnovers. John Brown hit 4 of 18 in the first half as OCU led 38-13 at halftime.
?Defensively we dominated the game,? Edmisson said. ?That was a good team that is in fourth place in our conference.?
The Stars used a 12-0 run to go up 26-6. Sy had a 3-point play with 7:33 left in the first to cap the onslaught.
OCU plays St. Gregory?s at 6 p.m. Monday at Abe Lemons Arena.
