THE MATCHUP:
Oklahoma City University opens Sooner Athletic Conference play with St. Gregory?s.
OCU's Nikki Wilson, a 6-foot-2 transfer from Fresno State, will make her debut for the Stars after sitting out the first semester.

ABOUT THE STARS:
OCU took a road win over Houston Baptist 65-52 on Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Stars? first matchup with a ranked team. Houston Baptist was ranked 12th in NAIA Division I.
Alexandra Kotta, a 5-foot-11 senior from Germantown, Md., led OCU with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Chelsea Ledbetter, a 5-8 sophomore from Norman, Okla., added 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Kotta leads the Stars with 18.4 points and 3.25 steals a game. Ledbetter chips in 11.9 points and a team-high 5.1 assists per game. Viola Beybeyah leads OCU with 5.9 rebounds a game.
The Stars are second in the NAIA Division I rankings. OCU won the Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships last season. In the preseason, OCU has been favored to defend its conference crown, tied with Lubbock Christian (Texas) for the top spot in the poll. The Stars have won seven SAC titles in a row.
OCU leads the overall series with St. Gregory?s 20-0. The Stars beat St. Gregory?s 93-39 on Feb. 13, 2006 at Abe Lemons Arena in the last meeting. Mikelle Brown had 18 points.

ABOUT THE LADY CAVALIERS:
St. Gregory?s dropped a 111-42 verdict to Oral Roberts on Saturday in Tulsa, Okla. St. Gregory?s fell to 2-7.
Hope Raggio
, a 5-8 junior, had 12 points against Oral Roberts. Raggio hit 3 of 5 shots from 3-point range. St. Gregory?s committed 38 turnovers.
Raggio leads St. Gregory?s with 9.5 points and 1.38 steals a game, while Vicky Khashivon, a 6-2 senior, averages a team-high 5.5 rebounds.
St. Gregory's was picked to finish 10th in the 10-team SAC in the preseason.

ABOUT THE COACHES: Rob Edmisson
is 342-122 in 16 seasons as a head coach. Edmisson took the Stars to the NAIA quarterfinals and a 32-3 record his first season at OCU. Edmisson coached the only player drafted into the WNBA at OCU, Mariam Sy. He won 192 games at Hutchinson (Kan.) and 110 as a high-school coach in Kansas.
Jeff A. Duke
has an 11-29 career record as a head coach, including St. Gregory?s 9-22 record in 2005-06. Duke spent three seasons as an assistant at USAO to Jay Niehues.
