OKLAHOMA CITY ? Oklahoma City University failed to score a goal of its own in a 2-1 loss to Oklahoma Christian in a battle for first place in Sooner Athletic Conference women?s soccer on Saturday at Stars Field.
Kacie Hoppe from Oklahoma Christian booted the ball into her goal at the 88:24 mark for OCU?s goal.
Kristin Brown scored twice for Oklahoma Christian.
OCU fell to 7-2-1, 5-1-1 in the SAC. Oklahoma Christian, 14th-ranked in NAIA, stayed unbeaten at 10-0-1, 6-0-1.
The Stars put together 10 shots.
Sarah Leonard led OCU with five shots, and
Jessica Caudle and
Jennifer Crawford added two each.
Leonard had OCU?s final shot on goal at 63:50. OCU had two more shots in the final 27 minutes, but Caudle fired wide left and Leonard shot wide right.
The Stars face John Brown (Ark.) at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Siloam Springs, Ark.
