Cernigliaro nailed the corner kick that slipped through OCU goalkeeper Alycia Allenby's hands 3:08 into overtime.
The Stars fell to 12-3-1, 9-2-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO went to 10-4-2, 6-4-2.
OCU took the last 12 shots in regulation. Jennifer Crawford bounced a shot off the goalpost in the 84th minute. Crawford took a couple of more shots that USAO goalie Destiny Rachal saved.
Christin Baker and Jessica Nunez each fired late shots that were blocked. Baker?s shot was a header.
The Stars face Oklahoma Baptist at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shawnee, Okla.
