OCU, ranked fourth in NAIA Division I women?s basketball, improved to 15-2, 6-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
OCU coach Rob Edmisson said John Brown played the Stars ruggedly.
?That was probably the most physical game we were in so far,? Edmisson said. ?Our kids did a good job defensively. We switched defenses in the second half, and that changed the flow of the game to our advantage.?
Paty Silva added nine points, followed by Fabiana Araujo with eight and Zanita Johnson also with eight points.
John Brown?s Kendra McCormick and Ashley Wettengel managed seven points each to lead their team.
The Stars play next against Northwestern at 6 p.m. Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
