OKLAHOMA CITY ? Jessica Caudle beat the goalie to the ball and scored straight on as Oklahoma City University?s women?s soccer team defeated USAO 1-0 on Thursday afternoon at Stars Field.
Caudle, a freshman from Putnam City North, took a cross from Erin Heath to make the play.
?It was skillful,? Caudle said. ?The ball was well placed.?
Heath, a freshman from Mustang, Okla., anticipated where Caudle would be in that situation.
?We play pretty similar,? Heath said of Caudle and her. ?I knew exactly where she was going to go. (USAO) had the physical aggression, but we were more skillful.?
OCU, now 1-0-1, got its first victory of the year after tying West Texas A&M. OCU registered 14 shots on goal to USAO?s one.
The Stars visit Texas Wesleyan on Saturday at 2 p.m.
