GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Oklahoma City University won its fourth consecutive game with an 88-53 victory over California Baptist in a matchup of top-20 teams Friday in the Holiday Inn Christmas Bash.
OCU, ranked ninth in NAIA Division I women's basketball, improved to 9-2 on the season. No. 20 California Baptist fell to 8-4. The Stars have won five consecutive counting an exhibition win.

Necy DeVance chipped in 10 points, four rebounds and two blocks, while
Mikelle Brown and
Paty Silva each scored nine points.
OCU held California Baptist scoreless for 5:36 in the second half from the 14:32 mark until 8:56 left in the game.
During that time, the Stars scored 15 unanswered points. OCU stretched its lead from 48-36 to 63-36. OCU also had a 9-0 run that stretched from late in the first half to early in the second.
The Stars open Sooner Athletic Conference play against St. Gregory?s at 6 p.m. Monday in Shawnee, Okla.
