OKLAHOMA CITY --
Jennifer Crawford scored the Oklahoma City University women?s soccer team?s only goal, but it wasn?t enough as Oklahoma Christian struck for a second-half goal to win 2-1 over the Stars on Monday night at Eagles Field.
Crawford put the ball into the goal with 7:56 remaining in the first half to tie the game at 1-1. For Oklahoma Christian,
Megan Childers scored 12 minutes before Crawford?s goal. Then at 23:17 left in the game, Andi Buck scored for OC.
The loss put the Stars, ranked 14th in NAIA, at 9-1-1. OC is 8-4.
?We had some chances,? OCU coach
Brian Harvey said. ?OC played better the second half than they did the first half. You don?t win games if you don?t score.
?We?ll have to bounce back, and I?m sure we will.?
OCU, now 1-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play, hosts Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
