Laurie Suter and
Jessica Caudle converted corner kicks into goals as the Oklahoma City University women?s soccer team beat 24th-ranked John Brown (Ark.) 3-1 on Thursday.
Suter, a sophomore from Phoenix, scored in the third minute on a header. Caudle assisted by sending the ball to Suter on a corner kick.
Caudle, a freshman out of Putnam City North, kicked her goal in from close off a corner kick by
Zoe Barratt in the 30th minute.

Brian Harvey said. ?It was a good win. John Brown had three conference wins, and to go to their field and win is a good win. It was a good team display.?
Jennifer Crawford scored the third goal off a penalty kick. Crawford took a push from a defender and capitalized in the 46th minute.
?It was encouraging to see Jennifer attacking defenders,? Harvey said. ?She took her penalty very well.?
OCU improved to 11-2-1, 2-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
The Stars face Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field. It will be Bust the Bleachers Day where OCU will try to set a new single-game attendance record. The current high is 600.
Students will receive a free mini-radio. There will be fajitas and a drawing for an electric scooter.
