ALVA, Okla. ? The Oklahoma City University women?s soccer team ended its season, this evening, with a loss to Oklahoma Christian in the semifinal round of the NAIA Region VI Championship. The Stars conclude the year with a 13-5-4 record.
Kristin Brown scored both goals for the Eagles, claiming assists from
Rachel Wrinkle on both opportunities. With less than five minutes remaining in the first half, Brown put OC on the board, giving the Eagles a 1-0 halftime advantage.
Brown struck again near the 63rd minute of the match and solidified OC?s advancement to the regional championship game.
Chelsee Truesdell collected her second-straight shutout against the Stars, as the Eagles claimed the conference tournament championship, 1-0, last week at the OCU Soccer Field.
The Stars won the shot battle, 15-9, with
Whitney Ward and
Holly DeRousse leading the team with four shots apiece.
