Fontes is this week's U.S Army Super Star of the Week after her performance against Oklahoma Christian where she had a hand in each goal. Fontes entered the game just before halftime and scored back-to-back.

When asked if her English was getting any easier, she said, “I will never be able to understand all of English.” 

OCU assistant coach Billy Martin said Fontes’ play in practice carried over to the game.

“She was scoring in practice, so we knew it was coming,” Martin said. “Hopefully these will be the goals to get things rolling.” 

Fontes said: “It just felt good to make the goals. Our team played really good against a good team. The goals happened so fast, sometimes you try a thousand times and nothing goes in. This time it only took two tries.”
