BUDAPEST, Hungary – Brittany Delgado of Oklahoma City University took fifth place in the Junior World Championships at 72 kilograms (158.5 pounds) on Sunday.
Delgado, a junior-to-be from Fountain Inn, S.C., went 2-2 on the way to the finish.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University had the best wrestling media guide cover in Division C in 2009-10 as awarded by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
OCU’s media guides were produced by director of art and web services Kevin Miller and media relations specialist Rod Jones in the OCU communications department and director of athletic communications Rich Tortorelli and assistant sports information director Jeremy Stevens in the athletics department. Issei Aoyama designed the wrestling media guide cover.

MANAGUA, Nicaragua – Brittney Roberts of Oklahoma City University took the gold medal at 67 kilograms (147.5 pounds) in the Pan American Junior Women’s Wrestling Championships on Saturday.
Roberts became one of two U.S. individuals to win the gold. Schuyler Brown won at 59 kilos (130 pounds) to help the United States to a second-place finish as a team. The United States had 53 points, while Canada had a tournament-high 63.

GUELPH, Ontario – Brittany Delgado of Oklahoma City University took third place at 72 kilograms, while Kristie Davis finished sixth at 67 kilos for the United States in the Canada Cup on Sunday.
Delgado, a junior-to-be at OCU from Fountain Inn, S.C., picked up two pins to rebound from a first-round loss while competing for the U.S. FILA Junior Women’s World Team.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Kristie Davis and Brittany Delgado of Oklahoma City University will represent the United States in the Canada Cup on Saturday and Sunday in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
The Canada Cup will be one of several international events that OCU wrestlers will compete in to hone their skills. Davis will wrestle for the U.S. Senior Women’s World Team, while Delgado will be on the U.S. FILA Junior Women’s World Team this weekend.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University has added state champion Madelynn McIlwain of Washougal, Wash., and Brittany Goebel of Lena, Ill., to its women’s wrestling program.
Goebel and McIlwain join Kristi Garr of Goodrich, Mich., as OCU signees for 2010-11. OCU won its second consecutive WCWA national title and third consecutive NWCA National Duals crown this season.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University’s women’s wrestling team will be among Oklahoma’s outstanding athletes honored by the March of Dimes in the 34th Annual Sports Headliner Banquet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Skirvin Hilton, 1 Park Avenue in Oklahoma City.
Each year the March of Dimes honors athletes and coaches that have made an impact on Oklahoma through achievement and recognition. This year’s winners are among Oklahoma’s finest, including Oklahoma City Thunder player and NBA All-Star Kevin Durant. The Thunder organization will also be honored with the March of Dimes’ Community Spirit Award.

MARSHALL, Mo. – Oklahoma City University repeated as Women’s College Wrestling Association national champion on the strength of four national individual champions and two runner-up finishes Saturday at the Burns Athletic Center.
Stephanie Waters at 44 kilograms, Michaela Hutchison at 55, Amberle Montgomery at 67 and Brittany Delgado at 95 each captured national titles for the Stars. Nicole Woody at 48 and Melissa Simmons at 82 made the finals at their weights as OCU outscored Cumberlands (Ky.) 124-76.

The Stars will attempt to repeat as Women’s College Wrestling Association national champions Saturday at Missouri Valley College. Cumberlands (Ky.) and Simon Fraser figure to be additional contenders for the national crown.

MOORE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University finished its season undefeated in duals with wins over King (Tenn.) and Lindenwood (Mo.) on Friday at Southmoore high school. OCU moved to 23-0-1 on the season in duals.
The Stars, using a lineup that consisted mostly of freshman and sophomores, rallied to defeat King 25-14 and closed the night out with a 32-8 victory over Lindenwood.
