BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University pulled out an improbable 79-69 overtime victory against cross-town rival Southern Nazarene on Monday at the Sawyer Center.
The Stars, ranked seventh in NAIA Division I women’s basketball, rallied from eight points down with 51 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Donica Cosby capped the run for OCU on a running-layup with 3.9 seconds remaining to tie the game 64-64.

BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University dropped a 70-61 decision to sixth-ranked Southern Nazarene on Monday at the Sawyer Center in a battle of top-20 teams.
OCU, ranked 20th in NAIA Division I men’s basketball, dropped to 11-7, 9-6 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, while Southern Nazarene improved to 20-4, 15-1 in the SAC.

CEDAR HILL, Texas – Oklahoma City University completed an unbeaten opening weekend in baseball with a 9-0, 18-6 doubleheader sweep of Northwood (Texas) on Sunday at Knights Field.
The Stars, ranked third in the NAIA, improved to 4-0, while 25th-ranked Northwood fell to 5-5. Steve Vitale, a senior from East Meadow, N.Y., knocked out two home runs for OCU.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University overcame an 18-point deficit to edge Rogers State 73-72 on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
Chris Brown, a senior from Spencer, Okla., supplied the winning points for the Stars, knocking down a pair of free throws with 1:16 remaining in the game. OCU improved to 11-6, 9-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The Stars, ranked seventh in NAIA Division I women’s basketball, pulled out the win despite shooting 39.3 percent from the field. OCU won for the 12th straight time to improve to 18-3, 13-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Rogers fell to 16-7, 8-7 in SAC play.

The third-ranked Stars overcame a three-run deficit in the first game on the way to becoming 2-0.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Oklahoma City University added Bryce Dicus and Kidd Gomez to its list of NAIA wrestling championships qualifiers as six Stars placed in the Briar Cliff Open on Saturday at the Newman Flanagan Center.
Gomez, a freshman from Noble, Okla., finished as runner-up at 125 pounds, while Dicus, a redshirt freshman from Catoosa, Okla., took third at 125. Nik Turner, a junior from Norman, Okla., took runner-up at 157 for the Stars, ranked 13th in the NAIA.
